Us2U - We commit to:

  • Keep you informed at all stages of the process
  • Ensure adequate insurance is in place to cover all eventualities
  • Having up to date police checks for all team leaders and team members
  • Carry out risk assessments of the trip, and of the team as an entity, and do everything possible to keep the team safe at all times as far as it is in our power and ability to do
  • Arrange suitable accommodation, transport, food and drink, and community-based activities for the team whilst overseas
  • Provide appropriate levels of supervision as decided in conjunction with relevant professional workers, individual risk assessments and the team risk assessments
  • Provide information and advice regarding all aspects of the trip (before, during and after) to enable you to support the young person fully
U2Us - You commit to:
  • Support the young person throughout the process, i.e. before, during and after the trip
  • Assist the young person with all fundraising events and initiatives related to the trip; we have found that the more the young person is involved in the fundraising the more they value the trip and engage with the whole process
  • Attend, with the young person, relevant 360 Trust meetings relating to the trip
  • Ensure that the young person has a valid passport at least 6 months before the trip, and that the passport is valid for at least 6 months after the overseas trip will finish
